AIT Code of Conduct

The AIT Code of Conduct has been created to inform and reassure you that, whether you are seeking therapy or healing for you or your animal, interested in further training or just information through an enquiry, you will be assured of a friendly, approachable and professional response in any contact you have with me.

The AIT Code of Conduct

I shall always conduct my professional activities in a friendly, approachable, efficient and professional manner

I shall always support, recommend or assist other professionals wherever it may benefit an animal or his/her human

I will not offer or promise cures for any condition

I shall convey all information exchanged in a communication only with the willing consent of the animal, in whatever way I believe that consent is given.

I will not work with an animal with a physical or behavioural problem that has not been seen by a Veterinary Practitioner

Any animal referred to me by a Veterinary Practitioner remains the clinical responsibility of that Veterinary Practitioner, whom I shall keep up-to-date with written reports of the animal's progress

Under no circumstances will I advise a client to discontinue any treatment for their animal that has been prescribed by a Veterinary Practitioner

I shall keep all my clients' and students' affairs confidential, unless required to do otherwise by law, or where I hear of an animal experiencing mistreatment or neglect.

I promise to abide by the above Code of Conduct
