NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programme) was first developed in the US with a study of the 'science of excellence'.
In this study, the two creators of NLP, Richard Bandler and John Grinder, looked at the thinking and behavioural skills of highly successful and effective people, and analysed what mental or psychological attitudes and beliefs about themselves and the world around them made them such high achievers.
Because animals think in terms of sensory information, especially feelings and pictures, and much of NLP is about creating mental pictures reinforced with sensory information, I have yet to find an NLP technique that can't be used or adapted in some way to benefit animals.
Whether anchoring positive feelings, changing past negative memories or creating positive expectations, NLP helps to build confidence and self-esteem, create positive future images and expectations, and reinforce performance or training techniques.
And if part of your animal's behaviour is due to his/her picking up on your vibes, there are NLP techniques to help you both.
