Animal past lives
Unresolved past life trauma can lead to an animal experiencing significant behavioural and emotional problems, which by their nature are resistant to all orthodox and complementary treatments.
Animals can often recall their past lives, especially if they are still relevant or impacting on their current life. And it's possible to explore and work therapeutically them, just like it is with humans.
Past life regression therapy
Past life regression therapy is not about finding specific, provable historical facts and details (though memories can be recalled in great detail). It's about addressing the animal's subjective emotional response to whatever was experienced, which is still impacting on the animal's present life experience.
When the trauma is processed and resolved, animals can be released from the legacy of post-trauma symptoms, fears and blocks they have been experiencing. This is the aim of past life regression therapy.
What kind of problems may be rooted in a past life?
Typical examples of where a past life issue may be underlying a problem include:
- An exaggerated response to a minor one-off trauma
- Sudden behavoural change
- Dissociative tendencies - going off into another world
- Any baffling problem that has no logical or physiological cause
Those that I have worked with include depression, lethargy, lung weakness, chronic & repeating physical problems, hyperactivity & restlessness, irritability, trust issues, fear of strangers, anger, anxiety, dissociative tendencies and phobias.
Symptoms may occasionally be evident when the animal is born (such as anxiety or physical problems). More commonly, they are triggered at any point during the animal's lifetime.
Is the past life memory real or fabricated?
As a therapist this doesn't concern me, the therapeutic benefit is just the same. However I have come across a variety of different sources of 'past life' memories, some of which are the animal's own experience, and some of which are not. These include:
- Events that are the animal's own, personal memory and experience
- A cellular or genetic memory
- A memory within the collective unconscious or Universal Mind
Whatever the source of past life memories, they share one thing in common. They, either now or in the past, have a direct relevance to the animal's own subjective experience.
We are all part of a greater universal consciousness,
and processing and healing any trauma will benefit
not only us and our animals, but everyone and
everything within that consciousness.
